2 Month Check Up
Ainsley went to see Dr. Jeff on Friday and had some of her immunizations. She did not appreciate being stabbed at all!!!!!! She now weighs 9 lbs 9.1 oz and is 22 1/4 inches long. She was doing very well and Dr. Jeff thinks she'll be sleeping through the the night regularly very soon. Yay! Then she can start sleeping in her own room that Tim and I worked so hard to prepare for her prior to her arrival. Today she is visiting her Grampa while her Maui is in Arizona seeing her siblings. She is going to her first concert tonight...David Meece. He's a Christian singer that was popular when I was in jr. high. David is playing at a "coffeehouse" in Owosso near Grampa's house. Today she's also been on a nap strike of sorts. She normally will sleep several hours in a row two or three times a day...So far today her longest nap has lasted only 45 min! I sure hope she tuckers herself out enough to sleep tonight!

I wish I may, I wish I might...
Since the advent of babies parents everywhere have been wishing for more sleep! Believe it or not, Ainsley gave Tim and I our wish last night when she slept a full 9 1/2 hours!!! She went to bed at 9:30 and didn't wake again until 7:00 AM!!!! Her Daddy gave her a "talking to" in the evening and it must have worked... :) Or maybe it was the early bath... Or maybe it was just a fluke... Whatever the reason, Tim got to go to work today fully rested and feeling great! We've never before been able to actually go to bed at 10 before while she's been here! Yippee! Of course, it remains to be seen if she will give a repeat performance tonight...
When we woke up and saw the time I immediately asked Tim to go check on her to be sure she was alive but just as he was rolling over in bed...she pooped loudly signaling that all was well! I don't think I've ever been so relieved to hear someone else poop before! :) So here's to another night of sleep sleep sleep! And Toni...don't worry, your turn for sleep will come again too...just tell Emma's daddy to give her a "talking to!"
