Nana's Tree

These pictures were taken at Nana's house. She has a beautiful tree in her front yard. Daddy says it is a Weeping Cherry. I tried to make is happy so it would stop weeping but Daddy said it wouldn't help. I also got to swing in Nana's backyard. That was really really fun!

Nana brought some of the tree inside...

5 Months

The two little outfits in these pictures were gifts from Nana. They are two of my favorite summery ones. I can't wait for the weather to warm up more so I can wear them more often!

Bradley Babies "Re" Unite

On April 20 we had a Bradley Class Reunion. Bradley is the name of the Childbirth Method we chose to use and we had attended a 12 week course with 2 other couples to learn about it. Though the babies had "met" in utero, we thought it would be fun to get a picture of them together. So above we have Will Clarke, Ainsley Sievers, and Nathaniel Degroote. We should have gotten a picture of all three of us pregnant...Oh well...
Nathaniel and Mommy Jill and Daddy Mike.

Bye Bye to the Jeep

On April 6 Michigan got an ice/snow storm. We were traveling to Clarkston for the Easter weekend and had left Bay City which was cold but the roads were great. We got close to Davison and ran into some yucky weather. The Jeep hit a patch of ice and rolled into this yard landing upside down. Everyone was wearing their seat belts and was able to get out ok. Ainsley's car seat worked GREAT! I highly recommend the Grayco Snugride seats. We had a State Trooper inspect the seat the first time we installed it to make sure we had done it properly. Tim and I crawled out my window. Tim's neck was smooshed because he's taller than me so he had to go in an ambulance to the ER. He just had some muscle strain and is OK! The Jeep rolled over side to side so there is no front or rear damage. Tim is really bummed to say goodbye to his beloved Jeep. It racked up more than 220,000 miles for us and was still trucking along rather well. Ainsley did great. She cried during the accident but thought the police lights and ambulance lights were rather exciting. She smiled at the police man and jabbered to the EMT's. All in all, we were very lucky. I definately DON"T want to do that again anytime soon unless I'm at Cedar Point or Six Flags on a roller coaster.

Visiting the Lodi Wine Country

Before we left we took this cute jammie photo
Toni and Emma check out the roses in the vineyard at the Lodi Wine & Visitors Center
Mommy and Ainsley
Ainsley takes time to stop and smell the roses.
The Barrel Room at Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi in Lodi. All the barrels are full and each pallet contains a different type of wine that is then stacked to the ceiling. It's really cold in the barrel room so that the wine will age appropriately. Woodbridge barrel ages all their red wines to provide the consumer with the optimal bottle when purchased. Their Zinfandel vines are between 50-80 years old. Those aren't the oldest vines we tasted wine from...The Jewel Winery in Lodi produces an Old Vine Zinfandel that is from vines more than 103 years old. I think the older vine Zin is really tasty. It's complex, fruity, and smells great! If you're a wine person you should really try some.

New Haircut

Toni and I went for haircuts together on our last day in CA. Isn't it cute? I haven't been able to get it to do that same thing again, but still am enjoying it...

Our Day in Napa

Isn 't the Napa Valley countryside beautiful???
Wind Energy is a big thing in CA. We passed this wind farm twice on our various excursions.
Sunset over the Valley...on the drive home.
Cuteness!
Toni reads to the babies after we got home while Tim and I cooked up some dinnner...

Dinner time in the vineyards!

The next couple pics (and the one above) are at Robert Mondavi winery in Napa.

We passed an Air Force base and the planes were practicing takeoff and landing. This plane went RIGHT over our car.
